Who
Tribe Archipelago is a long-running preset and education brand built around the LXC pack and a community of collaborating photographers. The look is more deliberately editorial than the film-emulation packs — less “looks like film”, more “this is a graded image in the Lightroom timeline”.
Used by a portion of the UK editorial portrait and lifestyle scene, particularly photographers who work in commercial, brand and content contexts where a distinct, recognisable graded look is part of the deliverable.
What’s in the pack
LXC is the headline pack. The marketing positions it as a comprehensive system rather than a one-click look — multiple base presets, modifiers, and an explicit workflow approach. The creator site is the authoritative source for what’s currently in the pack and at what price.
Who it’s for
Editorial, brand and lifestyle portrait photographers who want a graded look that reads as a deliberate creative choice rather than a film throwback. Less suited if you’re a documentary wedding photographer chasing a naturalistic film aesthetic — Mastin Labs or Kevin Mullins’s Film Edition will fit that brief better.
What we don’t know yet
